ELECTRONIC SOUND is a new UK music magazine dedicated to the very best in electronic music. This iPad-only publication has gone from strength to strength with exclusive interviews, features and reviews – and issue 3 is now out featuring PERFUME!
J-Pop Go’s own Paul Browne was commissioned by Electronic Sound to interview Technopop trio PERFUME ahead of their UK debut next month. As well as marking the first time that Perfume have been interviewed for a UK music publication, the article also discusses Perfume’s global strategy and looks at the increasing popularity of J-Pop in the West.
Issue 3 of Electronic Sound also comes packed with a range of other exciting features including interviews with Gary Numan, B.E.F., Robert Hood, Matthew Herbert, Boys Noize, Emika, Graham Massey from 808 State, Adrian Utley from Portishead, Husky Rescue, Club 8, Data 70, East India Youth and Nemone. The inside story of the Radiophonic Workshop with original member Brian Hodgson. A look back at Martin Rushent’s Genetic Studios with Genetic engineer David M Allen. German krautrock godfather Hans-Joachim Roedelius interviewed by Kreidler/To Rococo Rot’s Stefan Schneider – and Roedelius interviewing Schneider back.
Piloted as a quality print magazine in Summer 2012, the original Electronic Magazine (which now a highly sought-after collector’s item) was well received but as with any good pilot, the market place was researched and reassessed. The result is a superbly designed interactive digital magazine covering the best in new and classic electronic music.
