Energetic Japanese pop outfit BUDO GRAPE are about to embark on their first UK tour with 3 dates of live performances lined up later this month.
BUDO GRAPE hail from Nagoya (or as the band like to describe it, ‘Neo-Nagoya’!) and is fronted by Quminco who has already paved her own career as a model and radio presenter in Japan. The band also features Nagai (from The Shockers). BUDO GRAPE formed in 2001 and released their first album Koibito ha Koishite Tsukuru in 2005. There’s a quirky and simple pop sensibility to their tunes with a stripped-down production approach. If you’re a fan of the pop-end of the likes of Polysics, then BUDO GRAPE is probably going to meet with your favour.
