Legendary guitarist TOMOYASU HOTEI has been hard at work on his latest album, a project that sees him collaborating with a number of well-known artists – including the iconic IGGY POP.
‘How The Cookie Crumbles’ combines the two talents for the first single. “In creating this song” comments Hotei, “I knew that it needed a vocalist with a strong personality to fully bring it to life, and without a doubt, Iggy was just the man for this”.
The result is a percussive widescreen rock number that is a perfect vehicle for Iggy’s trademark vocals. Check out the lyric video below:
Meanwhile, the new album from Hotei will feature a variety of collaborators including Youth (Pink Floyd, Verve), Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Paolo Nutini) and Stephen Lipson (Jeff Beck, Batman soundtrack).
Hotei also has a new live date scheduled for London when he plays The Lexington on 7th July 2015 (tickets £18 adv £20 door).
‘How The Cookie Crumbles’ is released 15th June through Spinefarm Records in the UK and Europe.
