Perfume go global…
With the impending release of new single ‘Cling Cling’, Perfume have chosen the right moment to announce details of their new touring plans. The outfit will embark on their new global adventures following the completion of their Gurun Gurun Tour which takes place through August/September.
As well as a return visit to the UK, the technopop trio will also be making their US debut as part of the tour which also includes Taiwan and Singapore. A special World Tour video has also been released.
Perfume’s UK date will be at the Hammersmith Apollo, London (now known as Eventim Apollo). This is a step-up from their UK debut at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in 2013 as the new venue’s capacity tops out at over 3,500 compared to 2,000 at the O2.
Another interesting aspect regarding the UK date is that it’s the only one that falls on a midweek day, whereas the other tour dates fall on more user-friendly weekend dates (Similarly, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s return bout was a midweek date).
The tour will include Perfume’s US debut when they play Los Angeles on 9th November.
Meanwhile, the Perfume Fan Club (P.T.A.) will be running pre-sale lotteries for tickets to members.
